Serving Clients Since 1997
I'm Elizabeth Greenberg, a psychotherapist in private practice in Rhode Island. I offer a unique, comprehensive and modern approach to feeling better. My true calling is helping others-inspiring them to make positive change.
I have been in practice as a clinician since 1996 and earned my Master in Social Work degree from Rhode Island College. I was previously employed as a psychotherapist at West Bay Psychiatry in an outpatient setting. Prior to this, I was employed at Lifespan as a clinical social worker, primarily at RI and Hasbro Hospitals and worked in a variety of inpatient and outpatient settings.
I am passionate about the human service industry, community networking and philanthropy. In addition, I enjoy assisting small and large communities in a variety of capacities from fundraising to marketing and social media objectives. These commitments include The Miriam Hospital, Hasbro Children's Hospital, The Miriam Hospital Women's Association, Heart Works, RISE Providence (Rhode Islanders Sponsoring Education), The Rhode Island Coalition Against Domestic Violence, The Barrington Business Association and various local charities.
Hello and Welcome!
a unique, comprehensive and modern approach to feeling better.
Your journey starts here.
My Approach
Every individual has the right to a healthy, well-lived life. The right to feeling whole, complete, balanced and purposeful. This concept of a well-lived life needs to incorporate all aspects of an individual: their mind, body, spirit and environment. When that balance has been disrupted, emotional pain and physical maladies can occur. The process of psychotherapy can be transformational and help us see our “problems” as opportunities.
My mission
My mission as a psychotherapist is dedicated to assist individuals on their personal, unique journey to healing and wellness. Ultimately, this transformational therapeutic process guides them to become the best version of themselves. As a therapist, I have over 25 years of experience and have worked with thousands of clients of all ages. My approach incorporates a detailed psychological, biopsychosocial and psychodynamic assessment coupled with organizing the presenting challenges and goal formation. My preferred methods are eclectic and utilize traditional psychodynamic models, cognitive-behavioral and dialectical behavioral techniques, positive psychology, law of attraction principles, narrative therapy and motivational interviewing. In addition to individual therapy, my services also include family and couples therapy, consultation and coaching.
